Atlanta Concertgoers Held Up at Gunpoint

Incident took place after last week's Mumford & Sons concert.

OLD FOURTH WARD Atlanta police have released a sketch of an armed pedestrian robber, who with the help of another male suspect, allegedly robbed a pair of individuals last week on Jackson Street about a block south of Freedom Parkway.

According to the police report, the incident took place at around 11:35 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 10. That’s when four individuals were returning from the Mumford & Sons concert at Centennial Olympic Park, and were approached from the rear by the suspects near 120 Jackson St.

The first suspect snatched at a female victim’s purse, while a second taller suspect produced a silver revolver, pointed it at the female and demanded money and phones. While two witnesses ran off, a male victim had his wallet stolen while the female victim had her purse and smartphone taken.

The two black suspects fled on foot on Jackson Street. The sketch provided by authorities is of the armed suspect.
