Restaurants Offer Specials for Government Workers Affected by Shutdown

With several installations from the King Center to the CDC affected by the impasse in Washington that led to the government shutdown, some local watering hole favorites are doing their part for federal employees.

According to Eater Atlanta, some restaurants across metro Atlanta are offering discounted meals and free shots.

Among them:

  • Noni's DeliSweet Auburn District357 Edgewood Ave. SE: 20% off for furloughed government employees with valid government ID.
  •  Sister Louisa's Church of the Living Room & Ping Pong EmporiumOld Fourth Ward466 Edgewood Ave. SE: Offering furloughed government workers a free Free Fireball Whiskey shot with valid government ID at its Oct. 2 Church Organ Karaoke night.
