REI a Good Fit for Ponce City Market? What Else?

With all the recent biking progress being made intown, and with new bike-only lanes soon slated for nearby Ponce de Leon Avenue, REI would appear to be a good fit for the massive redevelopment project.

OLD FOURTH WARD - Ponce City Market’s online campaign to bring outdoor store REI to the $180 million metamorphasis of the old City Hall East building at Ponce de Leon Avenue and Glen Iris Drive, is in progress.

As the good folks at Ponce City Market write: “Help us tell REI that our neighborhood would support a new location along the Eastside Trail at PCM.  Click here to "attend" our online Facebook event and comment on the wall to raise awareness and encourage REI to open an intown location along the BeltLine.”

See here for a video showing the vision for the interior.

With all the biking progress being made intown of late, and with new bike-only lanes soon slated for nearby Ponce de Leon Avenue, REI would appear to be a good fit.
