Krog Street Market Announces Three New Tenants

The addition of Gu's Dumplings, the Little Tart Bakeshop, and Fred's Meat & Bread brings to date a mix of 10 restaurants, market stalls and retailers projected to be open for business in early 2014 at the Inman Park redevelopment project.

INMAN PARK —
Paces Properties announced Friday the addition of three tenants ready to call Krog Street Market (KSM) home: Gu's Dumplings, the Little Tart Bakeshop, and Fred's Meat & Bread.

The team behind The General Muir, named one of Bon Appetit’s Top 50 Best New Restaurant and Atlanta Magazine’s Restaurant of the Year, is coming with Fred’s Meat & Bread, a new burger and sandwich counter named for Krog Street’s Frederick Krog.

Gu’s Bistro is expanding inside the perimeter with their first dumpling and noodle spot called Gu’s Dumplings, while the Little Tart Bakeshop, recently featured on Anthony Bourdain’s, The Layover – Atlanta, is expanding and adding a new location at KSM.
 
“The level of chef talent, local purveyor and notable restaurants looking to join us at KSM is incredible,” said George Banks of Paces Properties in a press release. “We have been thrilled by everyone’s creativity and desire to do something new and different or to create a unique addition to their brand at KSM.”

The $70 million Krog Street Market redevelopment project is on a nine-acre site bounded by Edgewood Avenue, Irwin Street/Lake Avenue and the Atlanta BeltLine. To date, a mix of 10 restaurants, market stalls and retailers have been released including the first seven that were announced in July. They included:

CHEFS FORD FRY & KEVIN MAXEY
Concept: Mex-Tex inspired restaurant with a casual and lively atmosphere influenced by Fry’s Texan roots.
Stats: 5,100-square-foot restaurant with outdoor/covered patio.

CHEF ELI KIRSHTEIN
Concept: The Luminary, an American-Brasserie, with regionalized and updated bistro fare.
Stats: 3,400-square-foot restaurant with outdoor/covered patio.

THE SPOTTED TROTTER
Concept: Full American Butchery, Charcuterie & Cheese Shop.
Stats: 800-square-foot Market Tenant.

GRAND CHAMPION BBQ
Concept: Award-Winning Barbeque Experience.
Stats: 800-square-foot Market Tenant.

FRENCH MARKET FLORIST
Concept: Fresh flowers and floral offerings.
Stats: 400-square-foot Market Tenant.

PANNUS BAKERY
Concept: International Bakery specializing in Hispanic and European pastries, baked goods and gourmet products.
Stats: 400-square-foot Market Tenant.

THE COLLECTIVE
Concept: Home & Garden | Vintage | Local Arts | Gifts.
Stats: The Cottage is located at corner of Lake/Waddell and detached from KSM.

About the latest three announced Friday: 

FRED's MEAT & BREAD
Concept: Todd Ginsberg's acclaimed burgers and fries and a full menu of classic sandwiches including cheesesteaks, banh mi, po' boys, hot dogs, and more. Stats: 600-square-foot Market Tenant.    
GU'S DUMPLINGS
Concept: Authentic, award-winning Chinese dumplings, noodles and other Szechuan cuisine.
Stats: 600-square-foot Market Tenant.         
LITTLE TART BAKESHOP
Concept: Fresh-baked pastries hand made with local, seasonal, and organic ingredients. Favorites from LTB will appear at the KSM location including: croissants, local jam danishes, assorted scones, local fruit galettes, tarts, granola, giant cheese puffs, French butter cookies and crème fraiche quiche.
Stats:
200-square-foot Market Tenant.

Paces Properties will deliver individual suites to tenants for their interior work later this fall. KSM tenants are projected to be open for business early 2014.
