Reynoldstown Argument Leads to Multiple Stabbings

Victims all taken to Atlanta Medical Center.

REYNOLDSTOWN — An argument between two men at a party resulted in several stabbings and the arrest of the suspected stabber, Atlanta police said.

Luke Patrick O'Donovan, 19, is charged with five counts of aggravated assault, police said.

At about 3 a.m. police responded to a 911 call from a motorist at North Avenue and Freedom Parkway in Poncey-Highland who was transporting two of the victims to the Atlanta Medical Center.

The stabbings occurred at 239 Gibson St.

Witnesses reported that O'Donovan got into an argument with another man that escalated into a physical fight with O'Donovan stabbing that man as well as four others who tried to subdue him.

All five stabbing victims, including two who had stab wounds to the abdominal and legs, were transported to Atlanta Medical Center for treatment. All victims were reported in stable condition with the exception one victim who was rushed to surgery in critical but stable condition.

O'Donovan suffered a cut to his lower back in the fracas and was hospitalized at Atlanta Medical Center as well.

He was charged at the hospital.
