Two Robbed at Gunpoint in Poncey-Highland Kroger P-Lot

Trio of suspects left in orange Honda Passport.

Atlanta police are looking for a trio of gunmen who robbed two men in the parking lot of the Kroger at 725 Ponce de Leon Ave. late Thursday evening. The victims, who were with two witnesses, told police they parked in the lot around 11 p.m. They were walking to the Masquerade at 695 North Ave. when they were approached by two gunmen in the rear of the Kroger parking lot, nearer to the North Avenue entrance by the truck loading docks. One of the gunmen approached the two victims and began asking a series of questions according to the report. They asked the victims where they were from and if they had any money. Taggers Plead Guilty To Graffiti

"Beav" and "Vomet" negotiated plea deals that include probation, thousands in fines and restitution.

Douglas Grantham Jones and Christopher Erik Smith — long the source of aggravation for the intown neighborhoods of Old Fourth Ward, Virginia-Highland, Inman Park and Poncey-Highland — pleaded guilty to graffiti and destruction of property Wednesday. The two, known as "Beav" and "Vomet," respectively, appeared before Chief Judge Crystal A. Gaines in Atlanta Municipal Court Wednesday afternoon. Gaines ordered the pair pay thousands in restitution to their victims, additional fines and court costs and that they serve probation in a sentencing hearing that lasted about 30 minutes.
