Park Pride is continuing its dedication to developing and improving parks and greenspaces by hosting the 12th Annual Parks and Greenspace Conference on Monday, March 25 at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens.
Money will go toward splash pad and dog park.

Park Pride is awarding $550,000 in grants to 11 Atlanta parks and five DeKalb County greenspaces. Historic Fourth Ward Park, 664 Angier Ave., will receive $16,000 to pay for shade structures for a playground and splash pad. Renaissance Park, which also is in Old Fourth Ward at Piedmont Avenue and Pine Street, will receive $25,000 for a dog park. “We are delighted to support a broad range of projects throughout Atlanta and DeKalb County with our 2012 grants,” Park Pride Associate Director Allison Barnett said in a statement. “The projects vary in scope, budget, location and demographics, but they all share two things: Strong and dedicated Friends of the Park groups, and projects that will make the parks function better for their communities…
