Woman Carjacked in North Ormewood Park

NORTH ORMEWOOD PARK — On the same day Atlanta Police Department announced the capture six men suspected in a string of carjackings including in East Atlanta and Cabbagetown and other parts of the city, a woman reported that she was the victim in yet another incident. The victim, who was injured in the 5 p.m. incident and taken to Grady Memorial Hospital for treatment, becomes at least the eighth motorist to be carjacked in an East Atlanta Patch community since Jan. 1. The victim told police she was heading to her car in the parking lot of Glenwood East Apartments at 390 Stovall St. SE after visiting a friend.
