Police Nab One Suspect In Reynoldstown Carjacking Attempt
Victim identified suspect, who was tied to snatch and run in Edgewood Retail District. But her car ended up being stolen by another group of teens Thursday.
Atlanta police have made one arrest in the May 11 attempted carjacking of Reynoldstown woman in the MillTown Lofts. The victim, who was attacked in the 800 block of Wylie Street, identified the suspect, police said Thursday. In a cruel twist, however, another group of teens stole her car Thursday afternoon. It's unclear if the two groups are connected. The suspect in the carjacking case was arrested earlier in the week related to a snatch and run of another person's property in the Edgewood Retail District, said Maj. Keith Meadows, commander of Atlanta Police Department Zone 6. "This is the perfect example of citizens working with police to tackle complex crime problems," Meadows told East Atlanta Patch.
