The Transformation of a Grant Park Home

Boarded up for nearly three decades, the home at 428 Woodward Ave. has undergone a metamorphosis.

Green Stone Design, a local design/build and renovation company, has been working on a historic restoration project in Grant Park. The home, located at 428 Woodward Ave., had been boarded up for nearly 30 years. Green Stone, owned by Ormewood Park's own Maura and Kendall, Mitzner bought the property and has been restoring the home. When purchased, it was full of antiques, many of which were used in the restoration. The project is just about completed and a public open house event is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 29 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Ms. Wakamo is a principal of the Red Robin Group, an Ormewood Park-based residential real estate firm.

The Rebirth of a Grant Park Home

Green Street Properties restoring Victorian home on 428 Woodward Ave.

You've seen Green Stone Design renovations around town for years, but we're really excited about this historic Grant Park restoration at 428 Woodward Avenue. We met up with Kendall and Maura Mitzner, the duo behind GSD, to learn more about this home's history; its fantastic location; as well as what they have planned for updating and renovating the interior. Learn more about the property and stay up to date on the progress of the project by visiting www.428Woodward.com. — Red Robin Group
