by Patch Staff The 10th Annual Grant Park Summer Shade Festival continues today in the city's oldest park. Part of the festivities includes live music. This year features two performing acts with roots in our Patch: Sans Abri, featuring Josh Erwin of Ormewood Park, and Michael Paynter take the Cherokee stage at 1 p.m. At 6 p.m. the Jimmy Galloway Band, featuring Grant Park's Jimmy Galloway, takes the stage. by Patch Staff The city's oldest park plays host to one of its most popular neighborhood parties this weekend with the 10th Annual Grant Park Summer Shade Festival. Sponsored by the Grant Park Conservancy, Summer Shade aims to feature a little something for everyone, from a 5K and artists' market to showcasing the city's best chefs and wine and beer tastings to live music and puppet shows for the kiddie set. Proceeds go toward park conservancy efforts. Among the highlights: The festivities begin Saturday with the 8 a.m. Adams Realtors 5K Run for the Park (registration is at 7 a.m.). The fesival itself runs both days from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Aug. 25 and 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 26. Though the festival is free, Corks & Forks, which …
