Crime Blotter: Georgia State University

An armed robbery, strong arm robbery and armed robbery attempt since Nov. 5.

The Georgia State University Police Department has issued the following crime alerts: Nov. 12 - 10:05 p.m. - Piedmont and Auburn avenues: An Armed Robbery was reported to Georgia State University Police, on Monday, Nov. 12, 2012. A GSU student was robbed of his cell phone and bag at gunpoint by three unknown individuals. The suspects are described as three black males wearing all black hooded sweat shirts. All three were young in age. The suspect with the gun was between 5’10” and 5’11” in height, approximately 150 pounds and was wearing a black bandana over his face. Georgia State Students on Alert After Two Robberies

Incidents occurred on Oct 26.

The Georgia State University Police issued the following crime alerts: Auburn Avenue 10/26/12 8:36 p.m.: A Robbery by Force was reported to Georgia State University Police, on Friday, Oct. 26, 2012. A GSU student reported while walking with her friends, she was approached by three unknown individuals who snatched a GSU issued I-Pad from her hand. The suspects were described as black males, approximately 5’7” tall and wearing dark colored t-shirt and pants. Auburn Avenue 10/26/12 at 3:17 p.m.: An Armed Robbery was reported to Georgia State University Police, on Friday, Oct. 26, 2012.
