Georgia Gives Day is Today
More than 1,200 participating nonprofits across the state of Georgia, including many based in the communities of East Atlanta Patch, are participating.
by Patch Staff The Georgia Center for Nonprofits holds its inaugural statewide day of giving – Georgia Gives Day – today. The purpose of Georgia Gives Day is to bring the state together as one community and to raise as much money and awareness as possible for Georgia nonprofits within a 24-hour, flash mob of giving. One hundred percent of proceeds will go directly to participating nonprofits. It only takes one action – visit www.GAgivesday.org and click if you care to give back to participating nonprofits in your local communities and throughout the state.
