by Patch Staff The city of Atlanta's Office of Solid Waste Services will provide collection services as follows for the upcoming week as a result of Monday’s Martin Luther King Day national holiday. Collections will be delayed by one day after the holiday for the remainder of the week: - Monday collections will occur on Tuesday - Tuesday collections will occur on Wednesday - Wednesday Collections will occur on Thursday - Thursday collections will occur on Friday

Department of Public Works' Labor Day schedule: Please be advised that in observance Labor Day (Monday, September 3, 2012), the pick-up of household garbage, yard trimmings, and recycling will be delayed by one day. Right-of-way maintenance, bulk pick-up, street sweeping and all other Solid Waste Services will also be delayed in observance of the Labor Day holiday. These services will resume Tuesday, September 4th. Holiday schedule in observance of President's Day.
There will be no garbage pickup for DeKalb County residents on Monday, Feb. 21, in observation of Presidents Day. Atlanta-in-DeKalb residents are serviced by the city, which is keeping to its regular trash collection schedule. Monday garbage collection and yard waste will instead be picked up on Tuesday, Feb. 22. Tuesday collection will be moved to Wednesday, Feb. 23. DeKalb County's regular collection schedule resumes Thursday, Feb. 24.
