by Patch Staff Tuesday is Election Day. While it's an off-year — we won't have a presidential election until 2012 – there are a couple of issues important to residents of East Atlanta Patch. The first is the special purpose local option sales tax, or SPLOST, earmarked for Atlanta Public Schools. The second is whether or not Atlanta should allow Sunday package sales of alcohol. Not sure if you're registered? Check in on the Georgia Secretary of State's web page. You'll also find the polling station for your neighborhood.
