The East Lake Foundation Honors the "Best of the Best."
EAST LAKE — The East Lake Foundation is proud to announce that four of its associates have been named as “best” in their respective professions. These recognitions have come from the local or state chapters of the professional organizations that each play active roles in leading, outside of their day-to-day work. Jeff Dunovant, director of instruction for The First Tee of East Lake, has been named the 2012 Junior Golf Leader by the PGA Georgia Section. Jeff influences the lives of hundreds of East Lake’s children who either take golf lessons as part of the physical education curriculum at Charles R. by Patch Staff The East Lake Foundation today said it named Oglethorpe University President Lawrence Schall chairman of its board of directors. Schall, who joins the foundation’s 13-member board, will serve a two-year term. He replaces interim Chairwoman Lillian Giornelli, who remains on the Board as Vice Chair and head of the foundation’s fundraising committee. “The East Lake Foundation has accomplished tremendous work since its founding in 1995. The East Lake Foundation announced seven recipients of the 2012 Charles W. Harrison Scholarship. The Foundation recognized Gregory Addonizio, Kyle Barry, Thaddius Callaway, Arthur Charles Hagan, Graham Lutz, Christopher Mulgrave and Mark Putnam with scholarships that will help support ongoing study at local universities. Addonizio and Hagan attend Kennesaw State University; Barry, Callaway, Lutz and Mulgrave attend Georgia State University, and Putnam attends Georgia Institute of Technology. Callaway, Hagan, Lutz and Mulgrave are repeat winners. The Charlie Harrison Scholarship, which until 2004 was known as the Caddy Scholarship, provides opportunities for employees of the East Lake Golf Club and Charlie Yates Golf Course who exemplify …
