Want to Vote Early?: Nov. 2 is Your Last Chance

Today is the last day you can vote early before the general election.

by Patch Staff Taking sdvantage of the early voting and absentee ballot opportunity, some 250,837 people have already cast their ballots in Fulton and DeKalb counties as of Nov. 1. That's about 22.4 percent of the total 1,119,605 people who are regsistered to vote in both counties combined. You can still vote early through Friday, Nov. 2. That's today. 58,338 Early Votes Cast in DeKalb

Don't forget Saturday voting is available from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at three locations.

With the Nov. 6 Election Day fast approaching, voters are trying to beat the long lines at the polls. Through Thursday, 58,338 voters had cast early ballots in DeKalb County, according to the DeKalb Voter Registration and Elections Office. That's 12.4 percent of the county's 470,065 registered voters. If you have a hard time getting away from work to vote, consider voting today, Oct. 27. Registered voters can cast ballots from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, at these three locations. From Oct. 29 to Nov. 2, these other polls will be open for early voting. No early voting will be allowed on Saturday, Nov. 3, or Monday, Nov. 5. For more information, go to the DeKalb County Elections Office webpage.

DeKalb Residents Can Vote on Saturday, Oct. 20

As of Wednesday, more than 16,000 DeKalb County residents had cast early ballots. County residents will have two chances for Saturday voting.

by Patch Staff East Atlanta Patch registered voters who live in DeKalb County — Candler Park, Edgewood, Lake Claire, Kirkwood, East Lake, Gresham Park and East Atlanta — can  cast their ballots from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. today, Saturday, Oct. 20, at the following locations: Saturday voting will also be held Saturday, Oct. 27, at the same locations. You don't need to give any reason to vote early. But remember to take one of these forms of photo ID with you so you don't have problems: From Oct. 29 to Nov. 2, four other polls will be open for early voting: No early voting will be allowed on Saturday, Nov. 3, or Monday, Nov. 5.

DeKalb Opens New Early Voting Locations

Beat the July 31 Election Day crush by casting your ballots ahead of time.

The July 31 General Primary, Nonpartisan and Special Election, which includes the Transportation Investment Act (TIA) Referendum, presents voters across the 10-county Atlanta region (Cherokee, Clayton, Cobb, DeKalb, Douglas, Fayette, Fulton, Gwinnett, Henry and Rockdale counties, as well as the City of Atlanta) the opportunity to vote on a referendum that would fund $8.5 billion in transportation improvements through a regional one percent sales tax.
