Kirkwood Bar & Grill: Back in Business?

Closed since Tuesday, embattled restaurant reopened Friday.

The Kirkwood Bar & Grill, which was shuttered earlier this week, is reopened — at least for now. David Johnson, the owner of the eatery which has been at the center of nearly a year-long row in Kirkwood, failed to pay back rent owed to the building owner Southeastern Properties LLC. That led to a summary judgment against him late last month — and a shutdown — at least since Tuesday of this week. On Friday night, however, the restaurant was open for business. Johnson was not immediately available for comment Friday night.
