Man Robbed in Parking Lot of Moreland Avenue Krystal

Victim told police that gunman took $900.

ORMEWOOD PARK — A man waiting on a friend in the parking lot of the Krystal restaurant at 415 Moreland Ave. said he was robbed by a gunman Saturday afternoon, Atlanta police said. The victim told police he was at the fast food eatery to meet a friend. The victim said he happened to be waiting outside his vehicle and was chatting on his mobile phone and as he finished the conversation, he saw another man exit a newer model white Jeep Cherokee on the other side of the parking lot. The victim told police the man approached him asking to use his mobile phone and when the victim agreed, the man pulled out a black-colored gun with a tan handle and demanded his money. Gunman Thwarted in Bedford Pines Robbery Attempt

Victim's scream scared gunman away.

OLD FOURTH WARD — A woman's screams were enough to scare off a would-be crook who tried to rob her and another woman at gunpoint Wednesday night. The victim told police that she and her friend were walking on Peace Avenue in the Bedford Pines section shortly after 9 p.m. A man acame up from behind them and pointed a gun at them. The one woman screamed and the gunman turned and ran toward Parkway Drive. Police checked the immediate area and did not find her. There were no injuries and no property was taken.

Gunman Robs Two in Glenwood Park

Police looking for Honda SUV with dark-tinted windows and a Florida license plate which starts with the letter "P."

Atlanta police are looking for at least two men involved in two back-to-back Dec. 26 armed robberies in Glenwood Park. In the first incident, which occurred at about 9 p.m. the victim said he was standing near the Matador Mexican Cantina at 925 Garrett St. SE when a man approached him, ordered, "drop everything you got" and pulled out a black and silver colored pistol. The male victim, 43, reported the gunman took his wallet, iPhone 4, car keys and a leather jacket. The gunman then ran around the corner, and jumped into a black Honda SUV. The victim said the windows had a very dark tint and the vehicle had a Florida license plate that started with the letter "P." Armed Weekend Holdup in East Atlanta

Victim was robbed by three men on Gresham Avenue.

Atlanta police reported Monday that a man was robbed Dec. 23, in the 700 block of Gresham Avenue in East Atlanta. The victim told police he was walking south on Gresham at about 10:30 p.m — just past the Ormewood Avenue intersection — when he heard someone running up behind him. A man who came up behind him told him to take off his bag and to get on the ground. The robber took the bag, which had miscellaneous clothing and toiletries, the victim's shoes and the $6 he had in his pocket. The victim said he saw a black revolver, possibly a .357 magnum used in the holdup. In all, he said three men were involved in the armed robbery. Man Robbed at Gunpoint in East Atlanta

Victim was unhurt.

Atlanta police report that a man was robbed at gunpoint in East Atlanta Village early Wednesday shortly after leaving the East Side Lounge. The victim told police he left the bar at about 4 a.m., Nov. 28 and was headed south on Flat Shoals Avenue toward Glenwood Avenue in search of a taxicab. As he walked, a gunman came up from behind armed with a .22 caliber gun. The gunman took the victim's mobile phone and wallet and ran to the parking lot behind My Sister's Room at 1271 Glenwood. Once there, he got into a waiting car, which sped away.

Atlanta Police Seek Help to Identify Waffle House Robbers

East Lake location was eighth DeKalb County Waffle House to be robbed at gunpoint within a week.

Atlanta police are seeking the public's help in identifying these two men wanted in connection with an Oct. 21 armed robbery of the East Lake Waffle House. According to witness accounts, two black males, wearing masks entered the restaurant at 2914 Memorial Drive SE and robbed the restaurant at gunpoint. There were no customers in the restaurant at the time of the robbery. The gunman told a female employee to empty the cash register then held the gun to her face as he told the other three employees to empty their pockets. The two robbers then fled with the money in a gray 1994 Honda Civic with a Virginia license plate No. KFE1254. That car had been reported stolen out of DeKalb County. Police: Robber regularly rode the same MARTA bus as victim.

If there ever were to be a "Committing Crime for Dummies" guide, these two rules would likely be on the list: 1. It's not a good idea to rob someone that you see regularly, and 2. It's doubly bad if you have some unique tattoos on your face. But that's exactly who Atlanta police are looking for following an armed robbery of a Grant Park man Monday night as he walked home from a MARTA bus stop at Atlanta Avenue and Hill Street. The victim told police he exited the bus and was headed home when the suspect, who rides the same bus with him regularly, also got off at the same stop. Atlanta Police Seek Public's Help to Identify Robbery Suspects

Gunman robbed PURE filling station in Orchard Knob community.

The Atlanta Police Department is seeking the public's help in identifying two gunmen who robbed the PURE gas station at 3015 Jonesboro Road in the Orchard Knob neighborhood on Oct. 18. The one of the gunmen got behind the glass partition in the store, took money and hit the store clerk in the head with his gun while the other gunman stood watch in the store, police said. Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to contact the Atlanta Police Commercial Robbery Unit at 404.546.4255 or Crime Stoppers at 404.577.8477.  Callers  remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000.

UPDATED: Good Samaritan Gets Robbed in Scam

Man was robbed outside Buffalo China restaurant in Ormewood Park.

Atlanta police are looking for a pair of men who robbed a would-be Good Samaritan at gunpoint Wednesday afternoon outside the Buffalo China restaurant at Moreland and Glenwood avenues. The victim told police he was in front of the restaurant at 1145 Glenwood Ave. SE at about 3:50 p.m., when one of the men approached him saying he was illiterate and needed help with a reading an "important document." The man asked the victim to read what was on the paper — the name of a motel — and then asked if he knew where it was. The man suggested the victim go into Buffalo China see if they had a phone book. APD Releases Photos of Castleberry Hill Robbery Suspects

Atlanta police investigators seek the public's help to identify the suspects in the surveillance photos above. The men are suspects in a Sept. 3 pedestrian armed robbery at Fair and Peters streets in the Castleberry Hill neighborhood. The victim, 21, told police he left his apartment building at about 1:35 p.m. and began walking down Peters Street when he noticed four males sitting inside a gold-colored Chevrolet Malibu. The victim said as he walked past the vehicle, three of the men exited it and began to follow him. The victim then crossed the street and continued walking with the men in quick pursuit.
