Gunmen tried to rob several people on the street and began firing as the victims ran.
DOWNTOWN — Two people were shot Wednesday in a late-night robbery attempt on Auburn Avenue, Atlanta police said. At 11:16 p.m., three men in a silver vehicle pulled up to 253 Auburn Ave. near Bell Street. All three jumped out of the vehicle and tried to rob the victims at the corner. As the victims ran, one of the men began firing his gun, striking one person in the arm and another person in the back. Both victims were taken to Grady Memorial Hospital and are listed in stable condition. The armed robbers fled the scene.

GRANT PARK — A woman walking to the bus stop early Thursday was robbed at gun point, Atlanta police said. The victim told police she was walking to a bus stop at Confederate and Ormewood avenues, at about 6:30 a.m. when a man pointed a small, silver-colored semi-automatic gun at her, and demanded her belongings. The man, whom the victim said is black, last seen wearing a white shirt, black bubble vest and a fitted hat, said, "don't make do it," as he aimed the revolver at her. She handed over her bag and $30 in cash and the man walked away calmly, according to police.

ORMEWOOD PARK — A woman was robbed outside her Gilbert Street home Monday morning, Atlanta police said. The victim told investigators she was leaving her home in the 900 block of Gilbert Street at about 8:45 a.m. when a teen armed with a gray or silver handgun approached her, pointed it at her and demanded her purse and car keys. After she complied, he got in her black, 2007 Mazda 3, backed out into the street and speed off and drove south on Gilbert. The gunman is described as black, 13 to 15 years old, 5'8" tall, with a high Afro cut hairstyle. Police believe this man is involved in the armed robbery and beating of the owner of the Reddy Supermarket at 2199 College Ave. NE.
KIRKWOOD — The Atlanta Police Department is looking for the public's assistance in identifying the lead suspect in a Monday evening robbery at Reddy Supermarket, located at 2199 College Ave. NE. According to the APD's Facebook page, the individual in the attached photo is wanted for armed robbery and is responsible for the robbery at the convenience store. EAST ATLANTA — The Atlanta Police Department has released a series of surveillance camera images of three armed robbers who took $400 in a late-night hold-up of the Family Dollar at 1104 Moreland Ave. SE. From APD spokesman Officer John Chafee: "Three male suspects entered the location and robbed the business of approximately $400 in cash. One of the suspects was armed with a rifle." Victim said he was robbed by fellow patron of local club.
EAST ATLANTA — A man reported Sunday that he was robbed at gunpoint while sitting in his car. According to the victim, he was in the Asylum bar at 551 Flat Shoals Ave. and left at about 11:40 p.m. to take a short rest in his car, which was parked about 200 feet north of the club. The victim told police he sensed someone following him but thought nothing of it. As he sat in his car, he said he heard a tap on the passenger side window and saw black automatic pistol pointed at him. GRANT PARK — The Grant Park Security Patrol reported that a carjcacking and pedestrian robbery occurred at about 8:20 p.m. on Feb. 13. The carjacking happened on Rosalia Street SE off Boulevard. The victim told police he was working on his silver/gray 2002 Volkswagen Passat station wagon that was parked on Rosalia and as he sat in the driver's seat, a man pointed a black handgun at him and ordered him out of the car. The victim thought the gunman wanted his wallet so got out of the station wagon and handed it over and ran. Atlanta Police have released video footage from the weekend robbery at Chevron.
LITTLE FIVE POINTS — The Atlanta Police Department needs your help in identifying the suspect from the Chevron Gas Station robbery that occurred Feb. 3 at 372 Moreland Avenue NE. According to the detailed police report, Officer Thompson along with Officer Hall responded to the call in which a store clerk was robbed at gunpoint. In the report, the clerk statede he "saw the gun pointed at him. He took about $10 to $200 in cash and gave it to the gunman. Four wanted for questioning in Jan. 13 incident.
REYNOLDSTOWN — Atlanta Police have released surveillance video of the four men wanted for questioning in connection with a Jan. 13 armed robbery on Seaboard Avenue. The victim told police he was walking on Seaboard Avenue close to the Inman Park Marta station and the Reynoldstown-Inman Park border when five men approached him, one of them asking him for gum. As he checked his pockets, he pulled out his mobile phone. One of the men asked him to use it and then walked away with the phone. When he protested, one of the men brandished a weapon. Shots fired after an early morning party.
SUMMERHILL — Atlanta police are looking for two men who shot a man in a early morning robbery as the victim and his friend left a party. The shooting, which occurred at about 3:40 a.m., left the 28-year-old victim hospitalized at Grady Memorial Hospital in stable condition. According to Officer Kim Jones, a group of men were fired upon Jan. 21 after leaving a party at the Holiday Inn at 450 Capitol Ave. Police said that as the shooting victim and his friend walked to their car from the party, a white sedan pulled up alongside them. The two occupants of the sedan — armed with weapons — took the victims' wallets and mobile phones.

What we need is more citizens to become trained to use a firearm to protect themselves, get their CCW permit and then exercise their 2nd Amendment Right the next time one of these pathetic thugs points a gun at their face.
