Atlanta Cyclorama & Civil War Museum

The museum is home to the Battle of Atlanta cyclorama and is among the largest of its kind in the world. Painted byMore German artists between 1885 and 1886, the painting weighs more than 10,000 pounds and covers more than 15,000 square feet. It stands 42 feet tall with 358 feet in circumference.

The museum also has pieces from the Civil War and is home to the Texas Steam Locomotive.

The crown jewel of Atlanta's park system, Grant Park is the city's oldest and best-known green space. Spread over 131More acres in the residential neighborhood that shares the name, Grant Park is home to Zoo Atlanta and the Atlanta Cyclorama and Civil War Museum. The park is named for Lemuel P. Grant, who donated a 100-acre tract to the city of Atlanta to be used as a park. At 127 years, it is the city's oldest surviving public park.
