Trees Atlanta
404-681-4900
This non-profit community group was started in 1985 in response to the need its founding members—Central Atlanta Progress, the Junior League of Atlanta and the Atlanta Parks Commission—saw in the city for green space conservation. Trees Atlanta coordinates with volunteers and its contractors to plant trees, maintain them and educate residents about the importance of trees for a healthy environment. Trees Atlanta has focused on the city primarily but it also has worked on greenery projects in Sandy Springs and East Point.
