Out of all the Ru San's locations, this is the worst one. The 81 rating at the door should have stopped us from going in and spending almost $100 on a terrible dinner.
Our waiter (poor thing) was trying his best to keep up with his many tables so either it was scheduled poorly or people called in sick and left this guy alone on a Saturday night. What is maddening is that the greeter/floor manager should be able to help him out by delivering his food when it comes up. Our sushi was warm and our tempura was cold. Plus, my husband found 2x hairs in two separate dishes. Again, an 81 rating should disparage anyone from entering the place until they get their shit together.
The overall feel of the restaurant is DIRTY. I know it gets busy but I'm really shocked by how dirty the whole place was. We normally sit at the bar so maybe it's always this dirty and we never notice.
Anyway, I know it's cheap sushi and all but there should be some sort of level it needs rise to. Raw fish is nothing to mess around with and they should be really careful they don't make their patrons sick by the warm, raw fish they serve. Needless to say, my husband was sick the rest of the night.
Long story short, the Kroger store in the same complex has better, fresher sushi that you won't have to wait for. Grab a package and 6x pack of beer and get home. You will save yourself the misery of food poisoning and be in the comfort of your own home.

Ru Sans also has locations in North Carolina and Tennessee. The vibe of the restaurant, above Caribou Coffee is hip, with pop music playing. Sushi on the menu include the Triple Fish Roll, Big Eye Appetizer and the Hawaiian Poki. Come in early, before 2:30pm, for the lunch buffet.

The buffet manager is an idiot! If you have a problem the sushi team will not greet you out the door. Buffet usually means all you can eat and when you have not finished what's on your plate it can get taken away from you and then hand written sign says you get charged for waste which is really ridiculous if you are not finished eating and your waiter takes your plate away. The buffet manager watches each morsel and how many times you go to the bar even if you are waiting for the Unagi. He is a real asshole
If there was an option to grant "0" stars I would. I suffered food poisoning from here and when I went to speak to the manager about it they were rude and rushed me out.
If there was an option to shut a business down in our community... This would be first on my list.
