  • ABA Basketball Tryouts: The Atlanta Aliens will hold minor league basketball tryouts where semi-pro ABA & NBA D-League hopefuls, via full-court scrimmages and player evaluations, will showcase their skills for ABA, NBA Development League and International player personnel executives, coaches and scouts.  8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Grant Park Recreation Center - 537 Park Ave. SE.
  • Peachapalooza Cook-Off: Join Slow Food Atlanta in celebrating Georgia’s favorite fruit – the peach – with a Peachapalooza Cook-Off from 10 a.m. to noon.
  • Inaugural Old Fourth Ward Park Arts Festival: The Atlanta Foundation for Public Spaces has partnered with the Historic Fourth Ward Park Conservancy to present this brand new weekend festival, June 29-30.  10 am.m., 592 North Angier Ave. NE.
  • Bill & Eli Perras Benefit Concert at First Existentialist Congregation: Folksingers Bill and Eli Perras are performing in a benefit for the church. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.  Concert is from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.  $10 suggested donation, free for children under 12 at 470 Candler Park Drive NE.
