BeltLine Lantern Parade Sept. 7

the Lantern Parade has moved to Art on the BeltLine's "Permanent Collection" with an annual date of the Saturday after Labor Day.

From the Krewe of the Grateful Gluttons:

INMAN PARK —
All are invited to walk in the Atlanta BeltLine Lantern Parade on Sept. 7.

The lantern parade celebrates the Eastside Trail and kicks off the fourth season of Art on the Atlanta BeltLine. As part of the annual celebration, the Lantern Parade has moved to Art on the BeltLine's "Permanent Collection" with an annual date of the Saturday after Labor Day.

The tailgate line-up at Irwin & Krog at 7:30 p.m. and step-off at 8:30 p.m. with Wasted Potential Brass Band leading the way and the Seed & Feed Marching Abominables bringing up the rear. Cold drinks at Park Tavern at the finish.

Of course, parking will be dicey. Teamwork is the best way to get to and from the Lantern Parade! Walk back together or send a cab full of drivers to go get the cars. Here is a car service app that's kinda cool, (says "Flat rates, no need to tip"): https://www.uber.com/cities/atlanta. The closest MARTA Stations are Inman Park and Midtown.

Reminder: NO FLYING LANTERNS AT THE PARADE. Why? The recent $9 million, 3-day Smethwick Fire.

Here is a map of the parade route and approximate times it will be passing where: http://goo.gl/maps/s5YMC.
