The Week Ahead: Peace and Carrots; East Atlanta Community Meeting and More

Your weekly guide to events of note this week to readers of East Atlanta Patch.

  • Peace and Carrots Camp, June 11, 8 a.m. at the Berea Mennonite Church, 1088 Bouldercrest Drive SE. Children ages 5 to 12 will work side-by-side with farmers planting and harvesting, taking care of animals, and enjoying the work of the farm. They will also enjoy games, songs, crafts, drama and service and art projects that will affirm their spirits, stimulate their compassion and equip them to disarm both themselves and their 'enemies.'
  • Cyclorama Presents Rare Look At Daily Life In Atlanta During Civil War on Thursday,  June 13 at 6:30 p.m. Atlanta Cyclorama & Civil War Museum, 800 Cherokee Ave. SE.
