"Wheelie" Fun Times In Old Fourth Ward

Kaiser Permanente Volunteers partner with city to build bikes for kids

Employees of health insurer Kaiser Permanente and the Atlanta Bureau of Cultural Affairs put together bicycles Saturday at a build-a-bike event in the Historic Fourth Ward Skate Park.

The bikes will go to children affiliated with the Martin Luther King, and Central Park community centers in Atlanta.

The kids, who were joined by Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed, City Councilman Kwanza Hall and Fulton County Commissioner Joan Garner, also received tips on bike safety.
