Volunteers Sought For Brownwood Bike Rally

Annual event features bike races and bike safety tips and a health fair.

by Jill Sieder

It's time for our big spring event, the 9th-annual Brownwood Bike Rally! This Saturday, May 5, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., many cool things will be happening in and around Brownwood Park — bike races for kids and adults, a bike safety rodeo, a health fair, fitness demos, a bike decorating activity, food court and more.

We are currently in need of volunteers in these areas:

  • bike & helmet check-in
  • race course marshals
  • bike rodeo support
  • food court
  • health fair
  • kids' crafts & games
  • raffle and prize booth
  • registration and a few more.

If you'd like to help, please fill out this volunteer web form at http://bit.ly/bikerallyvolunteer and let me know what times you're available to help out on Saturday.

You can also feel free to contact me directly at jsieder@eastatlantakids.org.

Many of our volunteers participate in a bike race, as well as volunteer for a couple of hours, so bring your bike! (You can also borrow one of ours).

And please tell your friends and neighbors to come out this Saturday to enjoy all the fun we've got lined up.

Hope you can join us.

Ms. Sieder is the founder and executive director of the in Brownwood Park.

We spotted her last night (Thursday) just before the storm hit and chased her down May to CliftonRead More then up to Glenwood, where we think she turned into that development under construction across from the school. The storm swept in, and we lost her ... she was clearly panicked. Been back on the hunt this morning with no sign. Please call or text us at 423-653-5636 if you spot her!!!
