United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta's 2010 fundraising exceeds goal
United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta raised $80,224,500 last year — $24,500 more than the organization's original goal. To celebrate, United Way held a party Friday for some 300 workers, volunteers and corporate sponsors including SunTrust Banks, UPS, Gas South and Publix Super Markets. Earlier in the day, volunteers spent time working at various projects around the city.
