Celebrating Two Decades Of Service In Reynoldstown

Resources for Residents and Communities of Georgia recognizes founding leader

Community, city, nonprofit and business leaders came together Aug. 26 to recognize the accomplishments of Young T. Hughley, Jr., the retiring chief executive of Resources for Residents and Communities of Georgia.

Actor Samuel L. Jackson and U.S. Rep. John Lewis served as two of the honorary co-chairs of the tribute and celebration titled "Young Hughley: Celebrating the Past and Embracing a New Beginning." The event was held at Trees Atlanta.

A nonprofit community development corporation, RRC creates sustainable communities through knowledge sharing, community building, housing and economic opportunities. A Morehouse College graduate, Hughley founded RRC in 1989.
