The cycling promotion is part of Watson's "Living Smarter Atlanta!" program. The Morningside resident's four-pronged initiative targets:

  • Atlanta’s Youth - learning to be smarter through healthy eating, active lifestyles and literacy initiatives.
  • Green Living - working with “green movement” leaders to educate Atlantans on the resources and services available for an environmentally sustainable city.
  • Healthy Communities - advocating for more green spaces, bike lanes, walking trails and debris-free neighborhoods that support healthy lifestyle options in the city.
  • Sustainable Revenue Streams - seeking and supporting environmental conservation opportunities that could double as viable revenue streams for Atlanta city government’s optimum functioning.
