Atlanta Hawks, Kia Motors Host Free Basketball Clinic in Old Fourth Ward Today

Effort is part of Kwanza Hall's Year of Boulevard initiative.

The Atlanta Hawks and Kia Motors America are hosting the sixth annual Kia Summer Hoops Tour, which will be making a stop at Central Park in the Old Fourth Ward today.

The basketball camp comes to Old Fourth Ward as part of Atlanta City Councilman Kwanza Hall’s , which is designed to focus on youth who live in the Boulevard corridor as well as tackling problems affecting that main thoroughfare.

One of 20 free, high-energy clinics the Atlanta Hawks will offer this month across metro Atlanta area, they focus on education, and dedication, teamwork and responsibility as part of helping players improve their basketball skills.

Admission to all clinics is free and open to the public and the Central Park event, located at 400 Merritts Ave. NE, runs from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

All participants will receive a basketball jersey and drawstring bag courtesy of Kia and the Atlanta Hawks.
