Historic Fourth Ward Park Grand Opening

The Old Fourth Ward Park, located just south of City Hall East, is the result of a collaborative effort between neighborhood leaders and businesses in District 2’s Old Fourth Ward; the Office of Councilman Kwanza Hall; the Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs; Atlanta BeltLine, Inc.; the Atlanta BeltLine Partnership; the Department of Watershed Management and many other partners and stakeholders.

Increasing the neighborhood’s access to parks and greenspace was one of the key recommendations of a  master plan developed through a series of meetings during 2007-2008.

Following the opening ceremonies, guests can enjoy food, music and children’s activities from 10:30am to 12:00pm to celebrate the exciting community collaboration that is 17 acres of new greenspace in the heart of the city.
