Comcast Cares Day

Volunteers are needed to assist the East Lake Community Learning Garden get ready for spring!  As a part of Comcast's commitment to giving back to the community, Comcast will make a donation to participating organizations based on the number of registered volunteers.  Help make progress in the garden while generating funds to support the gardening efforts.

The East Lake Community Learning Garden is a new initiative in the East Lake community, located in southeast Atlanta, and a joint collaboration between the East Lake Foundation and the Southeastern Horticultural Society.

Enjoy music, food and crafts for children and meaningful projects for adults, such as:

• Creating pathways
• Building raised beds
• Painting garden markers
• Spreading mulch
• Planting trees, shrubs, vegetables and flowers

Recommended Dress: Casual clothes that can get dirty.  Tennis shoes.  Volunteers can bring: Garden gloves.
