Atlanta Streets Alive

During Atlanta Streets Alive a two-mile stretch of road will be closed to cars connecting Virginia-Highland, Atkins Park, Poncey-Highland, Inman Park and Old Fourth Ward neighborhoods.  Neighbors on foot and all kinds of wheeled devices will take part in celebrating community and the outdoors.

This is not your typical festival.  The event does not host an artist/vendor market or alcoholic beverages because the mission involves celebrating the neighborhood and the local businesses and restaurants, as well as promote healthy choices and activities for attendees. The event is free and open to all.

Everyone from the young to the old and wise, from all shapes and sizes and from all levels of physical fitness is welcome.  All activities will be human-powered, showing how biking, roller blading, skateboarding, dancing and even finger-painting are amazingly fun.
