Thomasville Heights Elementary Students Celebrate St. Paddy’s Day

Thomasville students celebrated the luck of the Irish during their St. Patrick's Day party.

THOMASVILLE HEIGHTS — TalkUp APS, showcased a few photos from Thomasville Heights Elementary School's St. Patrick's Day party that was held last week during class.

In a message written by Intiasar Ziyad, Media Specialist at Thomasville Elementary, East Atlanta Patch learned that the students were treated to a day, "full of green and learning."  The 2nd graders took the opportunity to learn more about fractions by using slices of green cake and cupcakes.  A lesson that must have been as delicious as it sounds.

The kindergarten students did their learning by watching Dr. Seuss' Green Eggs & Ham movie, while teachers, "challenged students to listen for and identify rhyming words as they watched the movie on the famous book."  At the end of the lesson students were given the opportunity to eat green eggs, said Intiasar Ziyad in the TalkUp APS blog.
