School Board Candidates Forum Oct. 14 for Jackson, Grady Clusters

GRANT PARK — The Southeast Atlanta Communities for Schools and the Council of Intown Neighborhoods and Schools are co-hosting a school board candidates forum Oct. 14 at 6 p.m. at Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School, 545 Hill St. SE.

SEACS represents the communities with schools in the Jackson Cluster. Those schools include:

  • ANCS
  • Benteen Elementary
  • Burgess-Peterson Academy
  • Coan Middle
  • D.H. Stanton Elementary
  • Drew Charter
  • Dunbar Elementary
  • King Middle
  • Maynard Jackson High
  • Parkside Elementary
  • Toomer Elementary
  • Wesley International Academy
  • Whitefoord Elementary

CINS represents those communities in the Grady cluster. That cluster's schools include:

  •  Centennial Place
  • Hope-Hill Elementary
  • Grady High
  • Inman Middle
  • Intown Academy
  • Mary Lin Elementary
  • Morningside Elementary
  • Springdale Park Elementary
The candidates are:

District 2:
  • Byron Amos (Incumbent/Unopposed)
District 3:
  • Matt Westmoreland (Unopposed)
