North Atlanta High Faces Grade-Changing Charges

Various news outlets are reporting that APS is investigating allegations of grade-changing at the school.

Allegations of grade-changing at North Atlanta High are being investigated by Atlanta Public Schools, according to news reports.

District spokesman Stephen Alford said the investigation could cover a wide array of grade-changing allegations, according to WSB-TV. Due to new standards instituted after the districtwide CRCT cheating scandal, details about this investigation can not yet be released.

In September, North Atlanta High's then-interim principal Mark MyGrant was fired suddenly and several top administrators were also reassigned. The firing sparked protests from students and parents who wanted answers.

APS Superintendent Erroll Davis said the firing was due to the school's low graduation rate and its low academic performance of students. MyGrant thinks it may have something to do with two of his recent hires, whom were anonymous accused of being racists, according to news reports.

The new high school principal begins Monday.

What a mess (again). Seriously. APS can't help itself. They just need to shut APS down, reduce our taxes, and let parents send our kids to private schools (like most of us have to do already anyway). How many more of these stories do we have to read? APS cannot be trusted with the education of our children.

Too true! Politicians are paid off by unions to keep unions in power. Poor people are paid off by government to be dependent and therefore vote to keep their government MASTERS in power. Sick circle of corruption. Government unions and the politicians that support this evil needs to GO! Wake up people!
