Peoplestown Community rallies to keep school open.
The Peoplestown community is holding its first of two closure meetings with Atlanta Public Schools regarding its neighborhood school, D.H. Stanton Elementary.
The school was not on any of the seven prior redistricting plans, but in the final plan developed by APS Superintendent Erroll B. Davis Jr., D.H Stanton is recommended as one of the 10 schools to be closed.
