Pittsburgh: A Sense of Community

The Auburn Avenue Research Library will host Pittsburgh: A Sense of Community, a community listening event, facilitated by, Dr. Moriba (Richard) Kelsey, who will discuss his current oral history project, which documents the personal and social experiences of residents in Atlanta’s Historic Pittsburgh Community. Pittsburgh is one of Atlanta’s oldest neighborhoods and was established by African Americans in 1883 on 554 acres in the aftermath of the Civil War in a segregated city.
