PEOPLESTOWN — Following months of calls to address several structural needs of D.H. Stanton Elementary School wanting repairs, parents and other community leaders, including a social service ministry of the Episcopal Diocese of Atlanta, saw some progress.
Last month, a crew came out to the school to make some repairs to the leaky roof.
Roofers told parents, however, that the work being done was only on portions of the roof not the entire structure.
Parents say they will continue to push for a total roof replacement and new HVAC system.
