DeKalb Delays Decision On Peachtree Hope's Charter
School's parents and students seek DeKalb County board's permission to continue operations
Peachtree Hope Charter School will have to wait longer for a decision regarding its long-term future.
That's because the Board of Education delayed a vote on a one-year waiver that would have given the Parkview neighborhood charter school a year to operate while it applies for a county charter.
"Additional information has been received," announced schools interim Superintendent Ramona Tyson at the July 11 school board meeting.

The school is trying for a DeKalb County charter after a that declared those charter schools approved by the state as unconstitutional.
That included Peachtree Hope's right to operate.
Peachtree Hope missed a June deadline to file its proposed plans with the county.
