INMAN PARK — The Atlanta Department of Public Works said Tuesday the portion of Krog Street that was closed June 17 for AT&T utility work was slated to reopen Aug. 6.

The street was temporarily closed when the telecommunications company needed to do the work in the area near the Edgewood Avenue Bridge construction project.

Recent rain delays pushed the schedule back but AT&T told public works officials the work is nearly complete and the road was scheduled to reopen by the end of business hours Aug. 6.

Some additional work remains to be done on the east side of Krog Street on Dekalb Avenue heading west toward Airline and Cornelia Street.  That work will only involve lane closures and traffic will still be able to flow through. The completion of the remaining work is planned by mid-September 2013.
