Atlanta License & Review Board —The ALRB will discuss the liquor license application submitted by the principals of the controversial in the Kirkwood neighborhood. Meeting begins at 5 p.m., 55 Trinity Ave., 2nd Floor Committee Room No. 2.

NPU-W Monthly Meeting — Neighborhood Planning Unit-W, which covers the East Atlanta, Ormewood Park and Grant Park communities, meets at 7:30 p.m., , 468 Moreland Ave. SE.

Saturday:

Santa Claus is comin' to Zoo Atlanta — Zoo Atlanta is hosting Santa Claus this weekend for pictures with your little tyke. In addition to pics with Jolly St. Nick, there will be hot chocolate and cookies, games and music. Cost is $15. You'll have to pre-register online by Nov. 25. St. Nick arrives at 10:30 a.m., , 800 Cherokee Ave. SE.

Small Business Saturday — While the day after Thanksgiving is "Black Friday," traditionally the biggest shopping day of the year, small businesses are the focus on Saturday. The number of small employers in Georgia, those enterprises that the Small Business Administration's Office of Advocacy defines as having fewer than 500 employees, was 177,445 in 2006, the most recent figures available. They accounted for 97.9 percent of the state's employers and 46.3 percent of its private-sector employment, according to the U.S. Dept. of Commerce's Bureau of the Census.
