Alcohol Technical Advisory Group To Meet Oct. 29

ATAG II wants your input in the licensing and enforcement related to liquor, beer and wine applications.

UPDATE: THE MEETING HAS BEEN CANCELLED AND WILL BE RESCHEDULED.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC INPUT HEARING

The City of Atlanta’s Alcohol Technical Advisory Group (ATAG II) will hold its seventh public input hearing, in the southwest quadrant of the city, to hear from the public regarding beer/wine/liquor licensing and enforcement issues.

The meeting is Monday, Oct. 29, 2012 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Ben Hill Recreation Center, 2405 Fairburn Road SW, (404.346.5891).

The hearing is an important opportunity for the public to share its concerns with the ATAG II Committee.

The Committee is composed of 17 members appointed by the mayor, city council and community and business groups. Members with ties to communities in East Atlanta Patch include:

  • Kwanza Hall, District 2 councilman
  • Ron Lall (Vice-Chair)
  • Dianne Olansky
  • Rashid Muhammad, NPU-M

They have been tasked with examining and recommending changes to the City of Atlanta’s Alcohol Code which deals with the licensing of establishments that sell beer, wine and liquor, as well as the enforcement of such laws.

As part of their review, ATAG II is required to conduct at least one public hearing in each quadrant of the City.  The Committee is expected to make final recommendations to the City Council by December 2012.

The City of Atlanta Alcohol Technical Advisory Group (ATAG II) was established through legislation introduced by Post 1 At-Large Councilmember Michael Julian Bond and passed unanimously by the City Council.

We spotted her last night (Thursday) just before the storm hit and chased her down May to CliftonRead More then up to Glenwood, where we think she turned into that development under construction across from the school. The storm swept in, and we lost her ... she was clearly panicked. Been back on the hunt this morning with no sign. Please call or text us at 423-653-5636 if you spot her!!!
