Atlanta police are looking for a man in connection with an Aug. 22 shooting of an Edgewood resident in the chest.
The incident, which took place in the 20 block of Hutchinson St. NE, occurred at about 2 a.m.
Police gave the following account:
The victim's husband came home from work and as he entered their home, he heard a gunshot and when he went to his bedroom, he saw his wife come through a side door, clutching her chest.
The victim told investigators she didn't know who shot at her but that she was standing in her backyard when the bullet hit her.
Pressed further, she said a man wearing a green shirt fired at her.
Investigators found a shell casing in the kitchen area and what seemed to be a bullet hole in the television in the living room.
The victim, who was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital for treatment, was listed in stable condition.
