Woman Robbed at gunpoint in East Atlanta

Gunman approached victim from behind and placed a gun to her head.

A woman was robbed at gunpoint early Aug. 16 in East Atlanta, according to Atlanta police.

The victim told police she was walking in the 1000 block of McPherson Avenue SE at Flat Shoals Avenue SE just after midnight.

A man came at her from behind, put the barrel of a black pistol to her head and demanded her belongings.

She handed them over without resistance and he fled on foot toward Moreland and Glenwood avenues.

The man, who is described as black, was last seen behind Delia's Chicken Sausage Stand near the Moreland and Glenwood intersection.

Police were unable to find him or any witnesses immediately after the incident.
