Two Additional Suspects Charged in Grant Park Shooting Death

Dedrick Hale and Quinterious Hogans were indicted in the murder of July 26 murder of David McReynolds.

Atlanta police say two men have been indicted on murder charges in the shooting death of David McReynolds, a well-liked Grant Park man killed in broad daylight on Hill Street.

Dedrick Hale, 19, and Quinterious Hogans, 20, were arrested and indicted March 24.

They charged with:

  • Murder
  • Felony Murder
  • Aggravated Assault
  • Criminal Attempted Armed Robbery
  • Possession of a Firearm During Commission of a Felony

They join Andre Byrd, 22, who was arrested Oct. 16 on murder charges.

All three remain in the Fulton County Jail.

The arrests bring to a close an intense investigation into the brazen shooting which left Grant Park residents on edge and angry.

It sparked door-to-door canvassing for witnesses, the creation of a reward fund and billboard signs.

McReynolds, 54, and a longtime resident, was shot over what was believed to be a winning lottery game.
