Starlight Six Drive-In Shooting Suspect Pleads Not Guilty

Indicted in August, Quentric S. Williams faces murder and other charges.

The man charged with the shooting death Georgia National Guardsman Mitt-Chai Lenix at the Starlight Six Drive-in Theatre May 15, pleaded not guilty in a DeKalb County Monday.

Quentric S. Williams, the 32-year-old alleged shooter, was indicted in August for the murder of Lenix, whom prosecutors said sought help with a jump-start.

According to Channel 2 Action News, Williams, who his being held without bond is charged with:

  • Murder
  • Felony murder
  • Aggravated assault
  • Fleeing to elude police
  • Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Williams has already spent time in state prison on drug possession charges including for:

  • Cocaine possession arrest in Gwinnett County on March 1, 2000
  • Marijuana possession arrest in Gwinnett County on April 6, 1999
  • Cocaine possession arrest in Gwinnett County on April 6, 1999

Williams was sentenced to prison twice and served terms from Aug. 19, 2009 through March 23,2011. Another sentence ran from July 13, 2000 to July 13, 2004.

His most recent stay was in Dooly State Prison, a medium security facility in Unadilla, Ga.

Lenix, 28, was a medic in the Georgia National Guard.

An award-winning martial arts expert known as "Super Ninja" by his friends, Lenix was a member of the two-man act Breaking Point which performed at the Georgia Renaissance Festival.
