Shooting Leaves 2 Wounded, 1 Dead at Apartment Complex

Atlanta police are investigating a shooting that occurred at an apartment complex at 514 Parkway, which left two women injured and one man dead. Police will be canvassing the area in search of witnesses who may have additional information.

The man and two women were on the side of an apartment building when a man approached them and fired seven to eight shots, said Police Major Keith Meadows. One woman was shot in the leg. The other was shot in the stomach. The man was shot in his chest, and ultimately, died from his injuries later at Atlanta Medical Center, Meadows said.

Meadows said in this report from the Atlanta Journal Constitution, the police do have information suggesting that an argument over one of the women may have ensued between the man and the suspect before the shooting.

“We haven’t been able to identify a motive,” Meadows told Patch.

The investigation is ongoing.
